Education is more than passing examinations.

A child may perform well in class, but still need confidence, discipline, creativity, communication skills and the ability to work with others.

At Froebel Nursery & Primary School Kakajjo, we therefore look at the whole child.

Building Good Character

Children need to learn how to treat other people.

We encourage values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, kindness and cooperation. These values are developed through everyday interactions at school.

Growing in Faith

As a Christian school, we believe that faith should be part of a child’s development.

Children are encouraged to understand Christian values and apply them in their daily lives. We want them to grow academically while also developing good character.

Developing Confidence

Children need to believe that they can learn and improve.

Through classroom activities, presentations, games, group work and other school activities, we give learners opportunities to express themselves and take responsibility.

Encouraging Creativity

Children are naturally curious and creative.

Art, music, drama, crafts, storytelling and practical activities give learners opportunities to think differently and express their ideas.

Learning Life Skills

Children also need skills that they can use outside the classroom.

They learn how to communicate, work with others, solve problems, manage simple responsibilities and make sensible decisions.

Preparing the Whole Child

Our goal is not simply to help children succeed in examinations.

We want to help them become responsible, confident, respectful and capable young people who can make a positive contribution to their families, communities and country.

Education should prepare a child not only for the next class, but also for life.
